Dear NROI leaders, range officers, other colleagues.
As you are aware, IPSC Finland organizes IPSC Rifle World Shoot in Ruutikangas, Liminka, Finland on July 25 – August 10, 2024.
IROA & NROI Range Officers
We need many Range Officers to be able to deliver a good competition.
Therefore we ask you to redistribute this letter towards your members.
Please consider coming here to help us deliver.

What is happening when
We are currently (starting October 2023) collecting information on NROI volunteers and helpers. For now we need to know your name, nationality, e-mail address and telephone number.
We reply to all emails – if you do not receive a reply within 14 days, please re-send your message.
Official survey is out. Please answer to the survey as soon as possible. If you have not received the email with the survey link, please contact us ASAP.
Benefits
Slot in the prematch, if you wish to shoot. If you plan to shoot in the prematch, please let your RD know.
Accommodation (including breakfast) will be provided on July 28 – August 11. If you need extra days, please contact us for a quote.
Lunch will be provided on July 30 – August 9.
Awards dinner on August 10.
Travel arrangements
Please note that we can not cover travel expenses from your home to Oulu for the NROI.
For those, who do not bring a car, we can arrange transport from Oulu Airport to your accommodation; and to range and back, on working days.
By air
If you arrive to Oulu Airport, please let us know about the arrival and departure dates and flight numbers.
By train
It is possible to come by rail from e.g. Helsinki. For details, see VR.fi. If you arrive by rail, we need to know your arrival and departure dates and train numbers.
By car
It is possible to rent a car from Helsinki or from Oulu. If you decide to drive from Helsinki, please note that the distance is about 600 km (8 hours’ drive).

Sanctions in force
Due to current IPSC and Nordic sanctions, we will accept no Russian nor Belarusian athletes nor officials.
Hotels
IROA hotel – Lapland Hotel Oulu
NROI hotels – GreenStar Hotel Oulu, Park Hotel Liminka
Hotel policy: We try to follow your requests, if possible. If there are IROA and NROI officers sharing a room, we may assign them to NROI hotel.
Prematch
Prematch is total of 4 days. All personnel shoot 2 days and officiate other 2.
Match ammo and rental guns

Communications
We are creating a WhatsApp group for the personnel: “RWS III personnel”. We will join all personnel to that group.
The main communication method in the range will be two-way radios. The presentation on radio communications is available.
Schedule
ROs to the range – 29.7
Buses leave from IROA & NROI hotels in Oulu at 08:00. When in range,
go to 300 m range parking place (Stage 29).
There is no bus from Park Hotel Liminka. You need to have a car or
carpool.
If you drive to the range, be on 300 m range parking place at 08:30.
All competition days – 30.7, 31.7, 1.8, 2.8, 4.8 – 9.8
Breakfast will be available at IROA & NROI hotels in Oulu at 05:00.
In Park Hotel Liminka, people will get breakfast bags.
Buses leave from IROA & NROI hotels in Oulu at 05:30. When in range,
go to your assigned stage for the day.
There is no bus from Park Hotel Liminka. You need to have a car or
carpool.
If you drive to the range, be on your assigned stage at 06:00, but Stage Head needs to get his/her tablet from STATS
First shot is 07:00, before that any needed calibration shots and/target changes & check your stage equipment.
